Ozark High School Teacher Jessica Culver was recognized at the School Board meeting on October 22nd. Mrs. Culver is the recipient of the Gilder-Lehrman Arkansas History Teacher of the Year award. Pictured with Principal Lexie Highfill, Mrs. Culver accepts the prestigious award presented by Mrs. Ronda Smith, Social Studies Specialist from the Arkansas Department of Education.

Ozark High School Junior Ava McCartney made a presentation to the Board of Directors on October 22nd about a Growing Voters Campaign. This nonpartisan campaign is aimed to bring together students and teachers across the USA to educate people about the importance of voting. Ava is pictured with her teacher, Mrs. Jessica Culver. Thank you, Ava for encouraging others to vote and for devoting your time and energy to civic engagement.

It is National Principal Recognition Month and we would like to celebrate that Ozark SD is blessed to have terrific school principals! Principals were recognized at the School Board meeting held on October 22nd.

National School Bus Safety Week
Held during the third full week of October each year, National School Bus Safety Week is an active and evolving public education program and an excellent way for parents, students, teachers, motorists, school bus operators, school administrators, and other interested parties - to join forces and address the importance of school bus safety. Designed to promote school bus safety, school districts throughout the country observe School Bus Safety Week. Thank you to the Transportation Department and bus drivers of the Ozark School District for your attention to safety and care of our students! #HPRD
