10 days ago, Ozark School District

Ozark School District official announcement dated October 23, 2026, detailing the relocation of Ozark Middle School students beginning in the 2027–2028 school year. The letter explains that fourth graders will attend Ozark Primary School, sixth graders will move to Ozark Upper Elementary School, seventh graders will attend Ozark Junior High School, and ninth graders will attend Ozark High School, while all other grades remain unchanged. The district cites declining enrollment, rising expenses, improved security, increased instructional time, and reduced costs as reasons for the transition. The announcement also addresses preserving the historic Altus-Denning School District campus, continued tornado shelter access, youth basketball use of the gym, and future parent meetings. The document features the Ozark School District letterhead, Hillbillies school emblems, district contact information, and a closing signature from Superintendent Zane Vanderpool.
