7 hour LPN opening
Job duties include but are not limited to:
-180 day contract.
- CDL encouraged
-Nurse care and reporting of campus assigned.
-Arkansas Nursing License (LPN) and pass a State Police Criminal Background Check and a DHS Child Maltreatment Background Check.
-Performs other nursing duties at other schools as assigned or accepts assignment at another school in the district as needed.
-Submits the necessary reports in compliance with Arkansas Department of Education and Arkansas Department of Health.
-Must be capable of interacting effectively with administrators, teachers, staff members, students, parents, and the general public using respectful, tactful and helpful customer service.
-Address the physical, mental, emotional, and social health needs of students and supports their achievement in the learning process.
-Monitor compliance of school health program with federal, state and local laws, regulations and policies.
-Provide first aid care and medically prescribed services.
-Maintain security of school health supplies.
-Serve as a resource person on health issues.
-Provide staff development on health-related topics for school staff.
-Screen and conduct health appraisals for students and staff.
-Provide follow-up evaluations on students as required.
-Recommend corrective action where problems are identified.
-Establish and update health and immunization records.
-Develop Individual Health Care Plans and 504 Plans for students on a case by case basis.
-Follow procedures for suspected cases of child abuse and neglect.
-Identify health and safety concerns in the school environment and promote a nurturing social environment.
-Support healthy food services programs.
-Provide health counseling, assess mental health needs, provide interventions and refer students to appropriate school staff or community agencies.
